Can it import our BOQ and bill against it?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The BOQ is imported as the contract baseline, the measurement book records what is actually done on site, and running bills draw from that measurement — so a quantity is billed once and only once, against the rate in the contract. The variance between contract, measured and billed is visible at all times, not discovered at final account.

Does it handle retention properly across multiple bills?

That is one of the main reasons to build it. Retention is deducted on each running bill at your agreed percentage, carried forward correctly, and tracked as a running balance per project. When a milestone or handover releases retention, it surfaces the amount due rather than leaving it to be remembered — retention un-recovered is money quietly written off.

We work with many subcontractors. Can it bill them back-to-back?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Subcontractor work is measured and billed against the same measurement book, so their bills reconcile with what you certify to the client. You see, per subcontractor, what has been measured, billed, retained and paid — and whether a subcontractor has been paid for work you have not yet been paid for.

Can management see progress across all sites at once?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Each project shows physical progress against financial progress — how much is built versus how much is billed and collected — and management gets that across every site in one view. The gap between physical and financial progress is usually the number worth watching, and it is the one nobody has time to compute by hand.
